Teaching materials 2025
Each year, FIFDH for Schools develops educational materials ahead of the Festival to accompany school screenings for secondary school classes.
This content, which aims to be increasingly innovative and in-depth, is then made available online for teachers who wish to screen the selected films in class.
Filmmaker & experts interviews
To mark the release of new films on the streaming platform for the start of the new school year, we are delighted to share with you video interviews with filmmakers and experts on the themes addressed in the films. These interviews have been developed to complement the viewing of the film and the reading of the educational material.
Visual Literacy education
For the first time, the educational files for two films of the school programme have been enhanced with a film analysis exercise to be carried out in class! Through a new collaboration with E-Media, the films Karuara, People of the River and The Brink of Dreams are accompanied by visual literacy content.

Material created by students
In 2025, for the first time, a class designed an educational worksheet based on one of the films in the FIFDH programme for schools.
As part of a sustainable development course, a class from Collège Claparède and Emilie-Gourd created an educational worksheet. The students watched the film Karuara, People of the River and spoke to one of the film’s directors in order to create this worksheet, which includes educational insights, links to the local Geneva situation, and references to other artistic works related to the film’s themes.
