Israel-Palestine: Engaging in dialogue

Ticket

Saturday 8 March – 14h00
Espace Pitoëff - Café du Festival
Rue de Carouge 52, 1205 Geneva

The war in Gaza and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continue to evoke waves of emotion and global outrage. Aware of the psychological impact of this crisis, the FIFDH invites Israeli and Palestinian psychologists to share their perspectives.

For nearly a century, and especially since 7 October 2023 and the Israeli army’s invasion of Gaza, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been a source of immense suffering. Anger, frustration, helplessness, sadness, and even despair arise in response to the scale of the violence. The tragic toll of this war, marked by loss of life and severe physical injuries, has also caused deep and lasting psychological trauma for many on both sides of the conflict. Mental health professionals invited by the Festival are working within their respective communities to address these traumas. They will share their experiences and therapeutic approaches while also offering a space to listen and engage in dialogue with individuals who wish to express their emotions and share their stories.
