Scarlet Girls
Av. Édouard Dapples 50 1006 Lausanne
The Lausanne Group of Amnesty International Switzerland invites you to a screening of the documentary film Scarlet Girls (FIFDH 2026 selection), by Paula Cury, in partnership with the FIFDH.
In a country where abortion remains entirely prohibited, Scarlet Girls brings together the voices of women and young girls confronted with forced motherhood and the risks of clandestine abortion. The documentary highlights the human cost of criminalisation and examines the condition of Dominican women. Through a carefully crafted form that blends artistic performance, fiction and documentary, it reveals the realities of unsafe abortion, stigma, and the struggle for dignity, health and autonomy.
