La Beauté de l’Âne
Rue du Général-Dufour 16, 1204 Geneva
After sixty years in exile, Dea joins her father, Asllan, in his native village of Makermal, Kosovo, to revisit memories erased by war. Between joyful reminiscences and painful revelations, father and daughter face the disappearance of a mother figure and the wounds of a community. The film offers a sensitive meditation on the fragility of memory, somewhere between documentary cinema and magical realism.
Screening followed by a discussion with filmmaker Dea Gjinovci and her father Asllan Gjinovci.
