Cybersexism: let’s talk about it
Rue de Carouge 52, 1205 Geneva
Social media provides new avenues for the spread of gender-based violence: insults, mockery, rumors, sharing intimate images without consent, sextortion, pornographic deepfakes, and more. These types of content spread online at a rapid pace, often leaving victims feeling helpless and with potentially tragic consequences. Fortunately, activists, associations, and legal experts are offering solutions to combat cybersexism. This event will provide a deeper understanding of cybersexism and offer techniques to address it.
An episode of Revenge, a documentary series from France TV Slash, will be screened during this event. Revenge dives into the daily lives of young victims of revenge porn and highlights the work of the feminist collective #StopFisha, which supports them and seeks justice.
