Baghdad on Fire

Ce film suit Tiba, une jeune de 19 ans, en Iraq après l’invasion américaine. En 2022, lors du 20e anniversaire de l’invasion, des milliers se rassemblent à Bagdad pour commémorer les protestations contre le chaos et la corruption. Tiba, qui défend l’égalité et la liberté, se joint aux manifestations avec Yousif et Khader. Ensemble, ils forment une équipe médicale, bravant les dangers sur la place Tahrir. Le film illustre la lutte de Tiba contre les traumatismes, la dépression et un passé marqué par un mariage forcé et des abus. Leadeuse des manifestations de 2019, elle aspire à un nouvel Iraq, à l’éducation et à l’indépendance. Sa quête de démocratie et d’un avenir meilleur est au cœur du film.
