Impact Statement
Guided by the slogan “change ni sisi” (we are the change), the impact campaign aimed to create a community of Kenyan citizens who were informed and emboldened to challenge the status quo through the power of their vote using various mediums such as theatrical releases, community screenings, online and TV broadcasts, and a robust social media engagement. Ultimately, based on the feedback we received from audiences across the country, we were able to fill a much-needed gap during the election period by creating a citizens’ handbook, which is a website that provides practical information on understanding the role of elected leaders as per the new constitution, keeping them accountable, and supporting community activists.
