SHE

SHE are the voices and the bodies that narrate the working conditions in the largest electronic industrial park in Vietnam, employing over 100,000 workers. 80% of them are women who have signed up for 12-hour shifts, enduring intense work rhythms, strict discipline, and constant control both inside and outside the factory. The suburbs surrounding the industrial park feature suffocating architecture, inadequate for the development of individuals and families. SHE is a choral story in which the workers’ bodies are revealed piece by piece to ensure their necessary anonymity. SHE is a mother, daughter, wife, single, migrant, and resident at the same time: each protagonist begins with different circumstances, but all are connected by the exploitation they face. SHE is the engine of the electronic industry in Asia. The narrative parallels the lives of these workers, capturing the conflicts and strained family relationships that are shaped by years of factory work.
