Israel-Palestine: what prospects for peace?

Over a century ago, in 1915, the British promised the Sharif of Mecca the creation of an independent Arab state encompassing Palestine. Two years later, contradicting that vow, London pledged to establish a Jewish national home in Palestine. After so many conflicts, including the appalling human disaster of recent months, will this war ever end? Could today’s geopolitical upheavals in the Middle East open new possibilities? This is the focus of our discussion, as Saudi Arabia and France prepare to co-chair an international conference next June aimed at unifying all two-state solution initiatives. Could this overly promised land finally become a land of peace?

There is Another Way
There is Another Way chronicles the experiences of Combatants for Peace, a group of Israeli ex-soldiers and Palestinian former fighters who reject hatred in favour of peace. They are convinced that reconciliation is not only possible but essential. After the events of 7 October and the war in Gaza, this documentary looks into the personal and collective struggles of those who believe violence can never solve the conflict. Yet before any other considerations, one fundamental question must be answered: is this vision truly realistic?
