Under the Taliban, photography was prohibited. After the fall of the regime, the establishment of a free press paved the way for reporters to navigate a troubled world and capture superb, previously unseen images. Massoud Hossaini, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for his photo “The Girl in Green,” and his wife, Farzana Wahidi, who dared to cover cases of self-immolation by women, will both be in Geneva to discuss this devastating film.
