My Vingren is a Swedish journalist renowned for her in-depth investigations. In Hacking Hate, she infiltrates far-right movements on social media. Adopting a fake profile, she witnesses the racist rhetoric and tactics of white supremacists. Meanwhile, she probes the platforms’ internal regulation mechanisms by interviewing key individuals, examining ways to hold these companies to account for enabling the spread of violent hate speech. As she ventures deeper into the dark world of online hatred, her research escalates to the point where her personal life is upended.
