Café philosophique with Hadrien Klent
The Cafés philosophiques at the Bains des Pâquis are designed to introduce as many people as possible to the thinking of today’s writers, scientists, researchers, artists and philosophers, and to give them the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the public. Using contemporary themes such as feminism, ecology, ethics, health and new technologies, the cafés philosophiques hope to bring people of different opinions together to renew a dialogue based on dialogue and analysis.
At this event, Hadrien Klent, author of Paresse pour tous and La Vie est à nous, will discuss the place of work in our societies. In his fiction, Hadrien Klent reflects on the limits of the current political and social system. In his utopia, the right to laziness is declared, working hours are reduced and all social issues are tackled from a new angle. Could the right to rest provide solutions to ecological crises, job insecurity and inequality?
