The Mind Game
Rue du Général-Dufour 16 1204 Geneva
At the age of 15, SK fled Afghanistan alone. After two years on a journey full of dangers and hardships, which he meticulously documented with his mobile phone camera, SK arrived in Belgium to seek asylum. Initially convinced that he will be able to attend school and start a new life upon arrival, a new struggle, this time a mental one, begins. A sequel to the award-winning Shadow Game, The Mind Game is an intimate account of the psychological pressure young refugees face along the way.
Screening followed by a discussion with the filmmaker Eefje Blankevoort.
