The Illusion of Abundance

The film The Illusion of Abundance by Erika González and Matthieu Lietaert – presented at Impact Days 2022 – will be screened as part of the Geneva Peace Week, a fully free event. The screening will be followed by a discussion with co-director Erika González Ramírez and Lara Sutter, art curator.

A powerful documentary following Carolina, Bertha, and Máxima, three courageous women leading the fight to protect nature against modern-day “conquistadors.” Their stories reveal the reality of defending land and communities in the face of corporate harassment, state repression, and threats to their very lives.
