Screening, Round Table and Cocktail Reception

Selfish

Saturday 26 September
16:00
Maison Internationale des Associations
Rue des Savoises 15 1205 Geneva
The Amoddou Association is celebrating ten years of commitment to improving access to healthcare and promoting international solidarity. To mark this anniversary, Amoddou invites you to a screening of the documentary Selfish (FIFDH 2020), in collaboration with the FIFDH, followed by a panel discussion, a book signing session, and a cocktail reception with food.
Screening : Selfish

War, emergencies, pandemics or famine: all over the world, men and women involved in humanitarian work are used to the most extreme and challenging missions and terrains. On the other hand, very few humanitarian workers venture into the more intimate terrain. Forty men and women working in the field and their loved ones have accepted to speak freely about the risks and commitments involved, about their first experiences, but also about helplessness, relationships, passion, homecoming and the unspeakable..

Round Table : The Erosion of International Humanitarian Law

In an international context marked by an increasing number of conflicts and crises, the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law appear increasingly weakened and openly violated.

Through this event, Amoddou wishes to bring together key players from the humanitarian sector to create a space for reflection and dialogue around these worrying developments. Three speakers, recognized for their expertise on these issues, will take part in the discussion and share their analyses as well as their field experience.

Book Signing Session

Featuring Pierre Micheletti, author of several books on humanitarian issues, and Gildas Leprince, known as Mister Geopolitix, an author and content creator specializing in geopolitical affairs.
