Runa Simi
Avenue de Mategnin 54, 1217 Meyrin
Ville de Meyrin, Hospice général and FIFDH invite you for an outdoor and free screening of Runa Simi.
Fernando, a radio presenter in Cusco, dreams of dubbing The Lion King into Quechua as a way of advocating for the preservation of his endangered Indigenous language. He decides to pursue this ambitious project alongside his eight-year-old son and, despite repeated setbacks, their determination never wavers. Runa Simi tells, with tenderness, a father-and-son story of transmission, linguistic reappropriation and cultural resistance.
