The Anti-Trans Crusade: From Washington to Warsaw Under the guise of protecting children, defending the family or upholding moral order, the rights of trans people are being systematically challenged. Access to gender-affirming healthcare, particularly for young people, is attacked, restricted or criminalised, with immediate consequences: forced exile, internal displacement and families at risk. By examining contexts where backlash is already institutionalised alongside others where it is gaining ground, this discussion analyses the circulation of moral panics and reactionary strategies, and explores the forms of collective resistance needed to confront this political offensive.
