In the United States, thousands of books are being removed from schools and public libraries. Driven by conservative groups, this offensive targets LGBTQIA+ narratives and works addressing racial issues. By following librarians targeted by threats, lawsuits and the criminalisation of their profession, the film exposes a nationwide strategy to control ideas and pays tribute to those fighting to defend what remains of democracy in their country.
