Between Dreams and Hope

Azad, a trans man, lives a love story with Nora in Tehran, within a caring and supportive environment, despite the repressive violence of Iran’s authoritarian and conservative government. When he decides to begin an administrative and medical transition, he learns that his father, from whom he has long been estranged, must give his consent for the process to move forward. Azad and Nora therefore set out to meet him, determined to persuade him and refusing to give in to despair in the face of tyranny.
