Women and War
Women and War is a documentary that explores the psychological toll of war through the personal journeys of three women—Julia, Irina, and Olena—who survived the horrors of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Over two years, the film follows them through therapy sessions in the remote Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains, where they gradually begin to heal under the guidance of therapists and psychologists. These sessions form the emotional core of the film, capturing intimate moments as the women confront their traumas and work toward recovery. Women and War is a universal story of resilience and courage in the face of war’s devastation, told entirely from a female perspective.
