Three wars and three different eras seen through the eyes of three children from the Italian countryside.
Italy, 1918: Zelinda is a young girl from the countryside whose mother has gone to heaven and her father to war. She has to put her childhood behind her and look after the house, her family and the livestock. She has seen many things, both real and imaginary, and has built up a picture of how the world works. It turns so fast that her story becomes someone else’s… In 1943, Assunta is a girl who stands balanced on one leg, with her head in the clouds and one foot in the war. But all of a sudden, the war is over, and with it her whole world disappears… In 1978, Icaro is a little boy whose life is out of control. He has to do something that was not possible for his mother and grandmother. A creative narrative adventure by artist Simone Massi.
