One of them, Nadia, said: &#8220;I arrived in 2023 with three daughters. At the UN headquarters in New York, the film was accompanied by an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=60wbjyIRVLY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online Q&amp;A<\/a> with the directors, while in Jakarta, young activists discussed the challenges facing climate activists. Particular attention was paid to women and indigenous communities, and to the importance of media coverage of climate activism. While the subject of feminicide was addressed in Mekelle, Ethiopia, around the film <em><a href=\"https:\/\/fifdh.org\/ressources\/film\/my-name-is-happy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My Name is Happy<\/a><\/em> by Nick Read and Ayse Toprak, the film <em><a href=\"https:\/\/fifdh.org\/ressources\/film\/state-of-silence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Estado de Silencio<\/a><\/em> by Santiago Maza generated rich discussions on the subject of freedom of expression in Conakry, Guinea. Encouraged by these experiences, the audience was able to directly confront local issues such as police violence following the screening of the film <em><a href=\"https:\/\/fifdh.org\/ressources\/film\/alis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alis<\/a> <\/em>by Nicolas van Hemelryck and Clare Weiskopf.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:36px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Since its launch in 2017, the Human Right Film Tour continues to grow, and this 2024 edition has been particularly rewarding.
