Tough choices were made.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>From the world\u2019s oldest <strong>martial art<\/strong> empowering <strong>young women in India <\/strong>today, to <strong>Aboriginal Elders<\/strong> fighting for <strong>asbestos-scarred homelands<\/strong> \u2013 from generations of <strong>children born of rape during war<\/strong>, to a rural Black Colombian woman <strong>inspiring the nation to dream <\/strong>\u2013 from a <strong>California judge<\/strong> bringing to court a <strong>dictator accused of genocide<\/strong>, to a firsthand look into <strong>autism<\/strong> after years of misdiagnoses and <strong>forced institutionalisation<\/strong> \u2013 and more \u2013 our selection goes around the world to report and impact upon urgent causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This selection was made by a committee formed by<strong>&nbsp;Abeer Bayazidi&nbsp;<\/strong>(Jordan),&nbsp;<strong>Lea Maria Strandb\u00e6k S\u00f8rensen&nbsp;<\/strong>(Denmark),&nbsp;<strong><strong>Prince (Austin) Nyambok II<\/strong> <\/strong>&nbsp;(Kenya), FIFDH editorial co-director&nbsp;<strong>Laura There he\u2019s notably been involved in the Co-design of the DocA Real Reel Impact Program (RRI) that seeks to holistically support documentary producers\/filmmakers in the African continent with their Impact Campaigns.
