In the early 20th century, three men set off on an horseback expedition  across the Tierra del Fuego archipelago at the request of a wealthy landowner, charged with securing his vast property designated by the State. The British lieutenant and the American mercenary are accompanied by Segundo, a mixed-race man, who realises that their real mission is to wipe out the indigenous people. Through breathtaking landscapes and borrowing from Western codes, The Settlers <\/em>is a visceral confrontation with the myth of nationhood and the violence that accompanies it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
