The Illusion of Abundance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Three Latin American women have taken up the fight against mining, which threatens their habitat, their environment and their community. Despite the danger, they are fighting to defend their land and, in unison with a broad international movement, to demand environmental justice and corporate accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some Strings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Some strings<\/em><\/a> is a collection of unprecedented filmic gestures originating in Palestine, where poet and teacher Refaat Alareer was targeted by Israeli strikes, along with seven members of his family. He published his last poem, If I Must Die<\/em>, five weeks before his murder. Refaat Alareer asks those \u2018who must live\u2019 to create a kite – a long-standing object of resistance – out of bits of string and some strings<\/em>, as each of his readers has inherited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in March 2024, Some strings<\/a><\/em> has so far brought together more than 100 filmmakers and artists, producing almost 6 hours of films, which have been shown around the world since 25 June, with no date limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La memoria de los huesos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For over forty years, Argentina’s forensic archaeology team has been recovering and identifying the remains of missing people in more than thirty countries. This documentary highlights the exceptional scientific work carried out by the archaeologists in the field, and highlights the vital role played by this research in bringing hope to the families of the missing. Restoring the identity of victims enables their relatives to begin the process of mourning and remembering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
