Each evening, Mailin weaves stories to help her five-year-old daughter fall asleep. Tales shaped by memory and inspired by her own childhood. A survivor of sexual abuse from an early age and over the course of fifteen years, she now confronts a deeply flawed justice system. As the trial of the priest who abused her unfolds, past and present intertwine through courtroom footage, powerful testimonies and scenes of family life, punctuated by striking abstract sequences.
