Following a complicated birth in which the newborn dies, the grieving father calls for an inquiry into Nina\u2019s methods. The ensuing investigation risks exposing her clandestine activities, which give her life its only sense of purpose. Amid breathtaking rural scenery, Nina regularly travels from village to village, performing unauthorised abortions. This deeply committed work plunges viewers into the reality of women\u2019s lives weighed down by a patriarchal tradition.
